It's Official: Katie Couric Inks Deal With Yahoo

The TV veteran will serve as global anchor for the Internet company. Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer announced Monday that Katie Couric is joining Yahoo as global anchor. She'll join the Internet company in early 2014, wrote Mayer on the Yahoo Tumblr blog, and will "lead a growing team of correspondents at Yahoo News who will cover the world's most interesting stories and newsmakers."
